The campaign gets supported by the Italian health minister. Shot from star photographer Oliviero Toscani: Isabelle Caro, suffers from Anorexia since 15 years and weights 31 kilos. Who likes it? I'm not sure... .....Vanina, have you seen it?
I just saw it yesterday, on a very sophisticated and intellectual newspaper (....vanity fair!)... there was an interview to the girl (she is just 26 years old, and weights 30 kg...) and to O.Toscani. It is shocking, indeed, and as many campaing from Toscani (think of Benetton's ones of few years ago) it will rise pros, cons, debates, complains....it will make people talk about it...and what else is "advertising"? this is a never ending debate....I will keep you posted on impressions and results here!
I like it. As Vanina says, this is "advertising". I will not go unoticed and, on this "strategy", it makes a clear and compelling point. And it generates such a huge buzz (I have already seen several times in the French and on French TV). And by the way, Vanity Fair is a great magazine!!!
It goes a bit far.. it's an ethic question and puts me off in a way. On the other hand its not just good advertising but also does for sure a good job on the younger audience to create a kind of awareness of not just the brand but also the danger of the deseas. However, we talk about advertsing :)

but would i personally buy nol-i-ta cloth? i doubt it.. it doesn't really build any positive associations with the brand.
